What you’ll do:
In this role, you will function as a subject matter expert, providing technical guidance and support in all aspects of database administration.
System Management: Design database backup, archiving, and storage strategies. Identify, report, and manage database security issues, audit trails, and forensics.
Implementation & Integration: Translate requirements into technical solutions using Microsoft SQL, Oracle, and DB2. Perform software analysis, scripting, and troubleshooting to maintain robust systems.
Project Leadership: Take ownership of project delivery from design to post-deployment support. Collaborate with vendors and open-source communities to implement new features.
Analysis & Support: Conduct in-depth root cause analysis to resolve issues and optimize performance. Provide comprehensive support and operational training to users.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position and industry
Education: Computer Science/Engineering degree or equivalent work experience.
Technical Proficiency:
- Extensive knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL, with hands-on experience in Microsoft SQL and Oracle databases.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation.
- Strong understanding of testing concepts, methodologies, and execution.
Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision.
Languages: Excellent spoken and written Greek and English communication skills.
