About the role
Join a Global Fund Administrator! A rapidly growing International Fund Services company is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join their team in Nicosia. This is an exciting opportunity to work with funds across multiple jurisdictions (including Cyprus, Cayman Islands, BVI, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and the UK) and work directly with senior management on complex financial projects.
What you’ll do:
In this role, you will handle the full cycle of fund accounting and administration.
- Fund Setup & Management: Set up funds in FundCount in accordance with the Private Placement Memorandum (PPM) and fund agreements.
- Accounting & Reporting: Process all investments, expenses, and bank movements to prepare accounting records. Prepare periodic NAV reports for investors and all necessary reports for regulators.
- Operations: Perform all Registrar and Transfer Agent duties.
- Leadership & Support: Train junior staff on company methodology and FundCount software. Support the Fund Manager and external parties with necessary data.
- Strategic Collaboration: Work directly with the CEO and CFO on various fund management projects.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Software Expertise: Proven experience of at least 2 years with FundCount software is a mandatory requirement.
- Industry Knowledge: Background in accounting for various types of entities, including Private Equity and Hedge Funds.
- Language: Excellent command of the English language.
- Soft Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to think "outside the box," work independently, and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
