Join the Pioneers of SWIR Sensing Technology! A cutting-edge company based on nanophotonics research is disrupting the world of vision sensors for the automotive market. We are looking for exceptional talent to join our Photonics team as a Photonic Scientist. You will be involved in the fundamental aspects of developing a state-of-the-art solid-state laser for Automotive vision systems.
What you’ll do:
In this role, you will map out material and performance-related limitations of the laser and offer design improvements to reduce them.
- Research & Modeling: Review related literature and build hypotheses through simplified physical models. Regularly use mathematical models for problem-solving and validation.
- Experimentation: Plan and execute experiments to validate hypotheses.
- Innovation: Propose and test design solutions and new architectures to improve the product in terms of performance, manufacturability, cost, size, and reliability.
- Collaboration: Consult team members and work together on research, production, and productization activities.
Requirements:
- Education: M.Sc. degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent (PhD is preferred).
Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in solid-state laser academic research.
OR: At least 2 years of experience in R&D in the industry, preferably in product development.
- Technical Skills: Fluent in MATLAB, Python, or equivalent scientific coding platforms.
- Soft Skills: A "go-getter" with a positive attitude, strong team player capabilities, and the ability to take on challenges.
- Language: Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
